Founded in 2013, Superior Ostrich was built on a bold idea: that the healthiest red meat on the planet deserves a place on the American plate.Ostrich is naturally lean, packed with protein and iron, and cooks like steak—but with a fraction of the fat and cholesterol. We're not here to imitate beef, we're here to offer something better. It’s red meat, reimagined for a new generation of eaters.Raised on wide open pastures in Texas, our ranch combines expert breeding, ethical animal care, and modern farming practices to produce the highest quality ostrich in America. At Superior Ostrich, we believe good food starts with good practices. And great meat doesn’t have to come with a compromise.
THE RANCH
Our flagship ranch sits on 335 acres in Valley Mills, Texas - home to 1,000+ free range ostrich. From breeding to hatching to chick rearing, our ranch program is designed around one priority: exceptional animal care. Every bird starts with space to roam, fresh air, and hands-on stewardship from a team that knows these animals inside and out.

Our flock is the result of 30+ years of selective breeding across African Black, Blue, and Red ostrich lines carefully designed to strengthen each generation.Genetic diversity isn’t just important, it's essential. It means healthier birds, stronger immune systems, and ensures our birds are resilient from hatch to harvest.We take pride in our innovative breeding program, ensuring every bird we raise is a step forward for the species and for the future of American ostrich farming.
