Ostrich Shepherd’s Pie

Serves: 4–6

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground ostrich

  • 1 onion, diced

  • 2 carrots, diced

  • 1 cup peas

  • 1 tbsp tomato paste

  • 1 cup beef broth

  • 2 cups mashed potatoes

Instructions

  1. Brown ostrich with onion and carrots.

  2. Stir in tomato paste and broth; simmer 10 minutes.

  3. Fold in peas and transfer to baking dish.

  4. Top with mashed potatoes.

  5. Bake at 375°F for 20 minutes until golden.
