Holiday Ground Ostrich Stuffing
Holiday Ground Ostrich Stuffing
Ingredients:
1 lb Superior Ostrich ground meat
1 loaf rustic bread, cubed and lightly toasted
1 large onion, diced
2 celery stalks, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 apple, finely chopped (optional)
1–2 tbsp fresh sage, chopped
1 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
2–2 1/2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
2 tbsp butter or olive oil
Instructions:
Toast bread cubes at 300°F for 10–15 minutes until dry and lightly golden.
Brown the ground ostrich in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add onion, celery, garlic, and apple; sauté until soft and fragrant.
Stir in sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
Combine toasted bread and ostrich mixture in a large bowl.
Slowly add broth until the bread is moistened but not soggy.
Transfer to a greased baking dish.
Bake at 350°F for 30–35 minutes until the top is golden.
Serve warm.
